Don McLean Pleads Guilty to Domestic Abuse
Earlier this year, American folk rock singer Don McLean (best known for "American Pie") was arrested on a misdemeanour domestic violence charge. Today, he plead guilty to assaulting his estranged wife.

While details are scarce, the Associated Press reports that McLean pled guilty to the assault in court yesterday (July 21). After his arrest in January, he initially pled not guilty.

McLean will pay a $3,000 fine.

His wife Patrisha McLean filed for divorce in March, citing "adultery, cruel and abusive treatment, and irreconcilable differences."
