Pittsburgh post-rock crew Don Caballero are once again digging into the archives for an upcoming release, collecting some vintage material under the outlandish title Five Crazy Pairs of Pants. Wear 'Em: Early Recordings. Chunklet issues the set on June 1.

A press release notes that the songs on Five Crazy Pairs of Pants were recorded back in December of 1991 at Pittsburgh's Carnegie Mellon University, just a few months after the outfit had formed. While a tracklisting has not yet been made available, many of its 11 tracks would later appear in different versions on early singles and the band's 1993 debut LP, For Respect. There are also two previously unreleased, as-yet-undetailed cuts on the collection.

Chunklet is also offering a bonus concert LP called Look at Those Ellie May Hands Go, recorded at Don Caballero's second-ever show in the winter of 1992, as a mail-order exclusive, while a download code for the live set will be included in the remaining copies.

Down below, you'll find a trailer for the project featuring concert footage, as well as an in-studio performance from Don Caballero.

While Don Caballero have not issued a studio LP since 2008's Punkgasm, the band did deliver the Gang Banged With a Headache, and Live concert album in 2012.
