Published Jun 16, 2011From his recent After Parties EPs through his career-making Give Up album as the Postal Service, electronic pop producer Dntel has had quite the career since signing with Sub Pop. Still, the label was not responsible for the release of his 2001 breakthrough album Life Is Full of Possibilities, a fact that will be rectified with a reissue this fall.
As the label confesses, "We've always secretly wished we'd put it out back then." With that in mind, the label has bought the rights from the Plug Research label, who originally released the album, and is planning an expanded, remastered deluxe version.
The double CD reissue of Life Is Full of Possibilities will include the remastered album on the first disc, with a second disc of previously released and new remixes alongside outtakes and B-sides. The release will also be appearing on vinyl for the first time, with the remastered album spread over two 45 rpm LPs and the bonus material appearing in the digital download.
The Life Is Full of Possibilities reissue will be available on October 25. It will also mark the tenth anniversary of the album's original release.
Dntel will be touring North America in August, including a Canadian stop in Toronto. All dates are available below.
