DJ Steph Floss Trolls Drake and the Toronto Blue Jays Right Out of the Playoffs

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Oct 20, 2016

Drake's Toronto pride is no secret, but it's been taking a beating from DJ Steph Floss recently. The official DJ of the Cleveland Cavaliers (who eliminated Drake's beloved Raptors from the NBA playoffs last season), Floss has been backing the Cleveland Indians in their MLB post-season run of late — and totally trolling Drizzy at the same time.

It started innocently enough, with Floss documenting his excitement for his hometown baseball team, which was apparently a sentiment shared by the Cavs' stars as well.

Then, he hit out at Drake and his crew, instigating what he dubbed the #BattleOfThe6ixes — pitting Toronto's 416 area code against Cleveland's 216.

The taunting continued with cartoon birds getting whacked by bats and chirps of #ByeByeBirdie, then Floss co-opted Drake's latest album title for his own city and captioned a scene from Progressive Field "Views from #TheLand." We're guessing that one's catching on about as well as "the Six" actually did in Toronto.

Things got really personal, though, when Floss dug up some archive footage of Drizzy throwing out the ceremonial pitch at a Cleveland game. In a Cleveland Jersey.

What a time @champagnepapi ...1-0!!!! #GoTribe #RallyTogether #ByeByeBirdie

Sad Drake memes abounded once the Jays were down 2-0 in the series.

Then when the series hit 3-0, young Drizzy's pitching form came under fire.

Floss opted to follow that up with some pretty culturally tone-deaf plays on Drake's If You're Reading This It's Too Late artwork.

Hey @champagnepapi I see you guys are doing whatever it takes to get a W tonigh huh? Lol. #GoTribe #RallyTogether

It wasn't until the Toronto team finally scored a win on Tuesday afternoon (October 18) that Drake jumped in with a response. He returned the pettiness with an expertly implemented photo of Floss warming up on the Rogers Centre field in full custom Blue Jays garb.

Floss make sure you don't pull nothing 😂😂😂😂😂😂 @djstephfloss

It wasn't enough to totally silence the haters and conjure an ALCS win for the Jays, though; they were eliminated from the series last night (October 19) in Toronto. Adding insult to injury, Floss shared the video footage of Drake's big pitch in Cleveland — in which he declares himself an Indians fans.

The Blue Jays' run may be over for another year, but we're guessing this playful feud is only gonna get uglier come NBA time. The Raptors and Cavaliers' first face-off of the season is scheduled for October 28 at the Air Canada Centre.

At least Toronto will always have the time Drake shut down his Meek Mill beef Joe Carter style.
