DJ Khaled Signs to Epic Records for 'Major Key' LP

Snapchat king DJ Khaled became a social media legend late last year with his jet ski antics, and he is now set to diversify his portfolio with news of a brand new full-length album and label partnership.

In an Instagram post today (April 11), Khaled revealed that his We the Best Music imprint has signed to Epic Records, citing their ties of "quality" and "iconic" music. He also revealed that his ninth studio album, titled Major Key, will be released through the label.

"L.A. Reid was the 1st executive to give We the Best Music an opportunity to distribute my music on a grand scale," Khaled wrote. "It is a very satisfying feeling to re align myself with someone who shares my vision of bringing you the fans the best music possible. When I think about Epic Records the first thing that comes to mind is Michael Jackson Thriller. An iconic artist with and iconic album and iconic logo."

Khaled also mentioned that he is searching for new musical talent to present to the world, though it remains to be seen whether that will be on the new disc or through his Beats 1 radio show.
