DJ Champion: "I Ain't Sick Anymore!"

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jan 27, 2011

Following the cancellation of "all confirmed concert dates on his agenda" last June, Montreal-based DJ Champion announced that he was battling lymphoma, a form of blood cancer. The DJ (whose real name is Maxime Morin) then underwent chemotherapy. While the musician took some time off to focus on his health, this morning (January 27), Morin released a short statement on his current status, and it's good news.

Here's what he had to say:

Hi everyone!

I ain't sick anymore! ;-)

I would like to thank all the fans and the media who supported me throughout my battle with cancer.

For now, I will not give any interviews, I'm well and healthy, that is pretty much all the news!

We will keep you posted about what's next.

See you soon!

Max

With that in mind, there is no certainty on when DJ Champion will get back out on the road, or when he will hit the studio again.

Exclaim! wishes Morin all the best for a speedy recovery.
