Dirty Projectors Tease New Material via Cryptic Videos

The unveiling of two separate, cryptic teaser clips from eclectic indie outfit Dirty Projectors this week suggest that the project could have some new music on the way for their fan base.

Earlier in the week, the band's social media presence posted a quick video loop showing a pair of hands rising up and down on a table, this scored by the sound of piano, woodwinds and more. Today (September 21), the band uploaded a more digitized soundscape that came attached with a video of Dirty Projectors founder/vocalist Dave Longstreth shaking his face in slow-motion.

While the group have yet to formally announce what's up, it's worth noting that the second song is captioned "What We Imagined and What We Became." Though purely speculation at this point, this may well be the name of the song being played in the newest video, or even an album title.

Dirty Projectors' last full-length release was 2012's Swing Lo Magellan. The band had reportedly upwards of 60 tracks left over from those recording sessions and issued a few of those extras on the Ready to Die EP.
