Dirty Projectors Announced As Support For TV On the Radio's North American Tour
If Dirty Projectors weren't already set to have their biggest year ever, the art-rockin' Brooklynites have nabbed the opening slot on TV on the Radio's upcoming North American tour. And yes, this does mean Dirty Projectors are on deck to play all TVOTR's Canadian dates.

As previously reported, this high-profile opening gig follows a lot exciting goings-ons for Dirty Projectors. The band recently inked a deal with the prestigious Domino imprint, have a new full-length called Bitte Orca due out June 9, and a twelve-inch for the track "Stillness Is the Move" set for April 21. They also teamed up with Talking Head David Byrne for the Dark Was the Night comp earlier this year and head Projector David Longstreth is debuting a new musical piece he composed for in New York on April 2. And to put some icing on the cake, Dirty Projectors announced late last week that they would be playing a special May 8 benefit show in NYC with none other than Björk. Seriously, the smell of indie rock stardom is starting to get pretty thick.
