Not only did Dirty Projectors release Swing Lo Magellan along with some extra material in 2012, they also shared a short film called Hi Custodian. Now, that short film has spawned the video for "Offspring Are Blank."
The clip accompanying this quirky track, which shifts between minimal R&B and hard-hitting rock, features strange, faintly alien imagery including a garbage dump, massive dump trucks, and singer Dave Longstreth emerging from a full-body yellow suit.
"Offspring Are Blank" is being pressed on a limited-edition 7-inch for Dirty Projectors' show at Carnegie Hall in New York on January 11. The 250 copies come backed with an unheard song called "There's a Fire."
Look for videos for "The Socialites" and "Swing Lo Magellan," also culled from Hi Custodian, to emerge later this week.
