Following the release of their excellent Swing Lo Magellan, recent Exclaim! cover stars Dirty Projectors have unleashed another anticipated project with their short film Hi Custodian.
The 20-minute movie was directed by frontman David Longstreth and includes music from Swing Lo Magellan. It stars the entire band and, according to a press release, was inspired by Kanye West's Runaway and Prince's Purple Rain.
In a statement, Longstreth said the film was "made out of a dream," adding, "it was so fun getting into these alternate personas, inhabiting them, and I think we came up with some amazing images."
