Dirty Nil Bassist Ross Miller Sidelined from Tour Due to Injury

The band have lined up some heavy-hitter replacements for upcoming dates

Ontario rockers the Dirty Nil have been gearing up for an upcoming series of tour dates in the United States, England and Germany, but things just got a little dicier. The band took to social media yesterday (February 5) to announce that bassist Ross Miller has broken his hand.

On Facebook, the band wrote, "The other night, Ross accidentally slipped and hurt his hand. He's got a little break, so we've had to postpone two shows this week in St Louis and Cincinnati."

The dates have now been rescheduled until after the European dates.

Filling in for Miller during the lone pre-Europe U.S. date is No Warning's Ryan Gavel, while Billy Talent bassist Jon Gallant will be filling in for the entire European run. Miller is presumed to be helming the four-string for the rescheduled St. Louis and Cincinnati dates in March.

According to the band's statement, Miller is expected to be present at all tour dates, stating, "Ross is temporarily being promoted to hype man extraordinaire so these will be really special and unique Nil shows."

The Dirty Nil's sophomore album, Master Volume, was released last September on Dine Alone Records.
