Dinosaur Jr. Sign to Jagjaguwar

Whoa, here's one we didn't see coming. Dinosaur Jr. have inked a deal with Indiana's increasingly impressive Jagjaguwar imprint, which has announced it will be releasing the band's next full-length album.

With the new signing, this means the alt-rock juggernaut's three original members - J Mascis, Lou Barlow and Murph - now share the same label home as bands such as Bon Iver, Oneida, Okkervil River, and more than a few Canadian bands like Black Mountain and Women.

According to Pitchfork, Jagjaguwar gave them the scoop late last week and said Dinosaur Jr. are currently wrapping the new yet-untitled record, which should see the light of day this summer.

Other than the record deal, though, things appear to be pretty quiet right now for Dinosaur Jr., with perhaps the last spurt of notable activity being the digital-only J Mascis solo album released late last year, J + Friends Sing + Chant for Amma. So here we go straight to the video.
