After making his solo debut with 2020's Child Soldier: Creator of God, Greg Puciato has announced a follow-up effort. The Killer Be KilledBlack Queen and ex-Dillinger Escape Plan member will deliver Mirrorcell on June 17 via Federal Prisoner.

The nine-track Mirrorcell finds Puciato playing all guitars and bass, while Poison the Well's Chris Hornbrook returns to handle drums.

Produced by Steve Evetts, Mirrorcell also features Code Orange vocalist/guitarist Reba Meyers on "Lowered," which you can hear below alongside a video directed by Jim Louvau and Tony Aguilera.

"When she came to the studio we had like…zero vocals for that song," Puciato recalled of his collaboration with Meyers. "I had been a little unusually stuck with that one lyrically and as far as vocal phrasings and melodies.

"Reba and I had such an explosion of musical and personal chemistry right away, and we ended up writing and recording all of the vocals in about six hours. It was one of the purest collaborations I've ever done, in terms of feeling, just really natural and explosive. She really blew me away overall. The combined energy was instant. That song turned into something really special because of that energy."

Both Mirrorcell and "Lowered" vinyl singles are now available for pre-order, and here's hoping Puciato's latest doesn't land in the leaky hands of a "dipshit reviewer" ahead of its release this time around.

Last year, Puciato appeared on a solo album from Alice in Chains' Jerry Cantrell, while Meyers and her Code Orange bandmates hit the studio with Billy Corgan.
