Brooklyn's DIIV have been pretty generous with the amount of previews they've unveiled to support their forthcoming Is the Is Are album and have once again revealed another track ahead of its February 5 release date through Captured Tracks. Fittingly, the newly loosened title track has leader Zachary Cole Smith singing "you ain't the first."
The tune is a rumbling post-punk number along the lines of early '80s-era Echo and the Bunnymen, with driving beats and blankets of dreamy guitars gelling around scene-setting lyrics like "the last time I went down this street I wanted to die."
