Prolific Toronto synth junkie Digits never goes long without a new release, and he just put out a new EP called The Day You Fight Back. It comes out today (June 10), and it's streaming in full.
The four-song set is available as a free download right here, or it can be streamed below. A press release previously promised, "This summery EP is a slight departure from Digits' usual melancholy soulful synth-pop."
Sure enough, "The Day You Fight Back" uses an acoustic guitar for a synth-y foray into sleepy bossa nova, "When You Look Inside" and "Stasis" are soft electronic ditties, and six-minute closer "Brain Brain" shifts from tinkling minimalism to a toe-tapping groove with acoustic strums.
