Sean "Diddy" Combs has released a public statement about his former girlfriend and mother to three of his children, Kim Porter.

She passed away last week at the age of 47, and while stars like Rihanna, Missy Elliott and Drake paid homage to her on social media right away, Diddy shared his first message yesterday (November 18) via Twitter.

He shared a video of himself and a pregnant Porter cuddling up to each other for an Essence photo shoot, along with a heartfelt caption. It reads:

For the last three days I've been trying to wake up out of this nightmare. But I haven't. I don't know what I'm going to do without you baby. I miss you so much. Today I'm going to pay tribute to you, I'm going to try and find the words to explain our unexplainable relationship.

He followed it up with another tweet, saying, "We were more than best friends, we were more than soulmates."

Combs and Porter dated on-and-off from 1994 until 2007, and have a 20-year-old son, Christian, and 11-year-old twin daughters, D'Lila Star and Jessie James. Combs also helped raise Porter's 27-year-old son, Quincy Brown, from a previous marriage.

Porter was found dead in her home on Thursday (November 15) morning. An autopsy has yet to reveal the cause of death.
