BY Alex HudsonPublished Sep 8, 2010

Just this morning, we posted a new interview with Diamond Rings mastermind John O'Regan, whose debut LP, Special Affections, is due October 26. Now, we have news that a seven-inch will drop a month before the full-length, on September 28.

The single features album cut "Something Else," along with a cover of Milla Jovovich's "The Gentleman Who Fell" on the B-side. The latter features orchestration from Owen Pallett and can be heard over at Stereogum. Click on the video embedded at the bottom of the page to watch Diamond Rings perform "Something Else" live.

The seven-inch will come out via Secret City and will be limited to 500 copies. According to a press release, "We're certain all the buzz around this track ["The Gentleman Who Fell"] will help send Milla's latest Resident Evil film straight to number one at the box office when it premieres this week."

O'Regan will also be taking Diamond Rings on tour this fall. There are a number of Canadian dates, followed by a jaunt around the UK.
