BY Sarah MurphyPublished Nov 2, 2015

Blood Orange mastermind Dev Hynes dropped a powerful new track called "Sandra's Smile" just last week, but he's already unleashed a brand new creative project. He's paired up with Australian psych-pop artist Connan Mockasin for a three-song set titled Myths 001.

The EP was written and recorded in conjunction with Mexican Summer's Texas-based Marfa Myths festival back in March. It was captured with Gregory Smelley at the Marfa Recording Studio and marks the first in a series of releases from the label's creative program.

Natalie Mering will record the next project for the Myths series with a special collaborator to be announced at the festival. Marfa Myths' 2016 instalment will run from March 10 to 13, featuring performances from William Basinski, Dungen, Raum, Parquet Courts, No Age, Quilt, Sheer Mag, Awesome Tapes from Africa and Emitt Rhodes.

Myths 001 has been released as1,500 copies on 12-inch vinyl, and it's also currently streaming digitally. Listen to "Feelin' Lovely" below, or stream the full EP via Spotify.
