Published Feb 27, 2012When Destroyer hit the road last year in support of the outstanding Kaputt, songwriter Dan Bejar brought along a large lineup of backing musicians to recreate the lush arrangements of his latest opus. Now Destroyer is getting ready to promote the album with yet more dates.
The outing, which lasts for most of June, will take Bejar and co. around North America with a slew of U.S. dates, plus two Canadian shows: Montreal on June 21 and Toronto on June 23. So far, there's no word as to Destroyer's exact lineup on this tour.
Curiously, the schedule doesn't include a hometown gig in Vancouver. Instead, the outing begins in Seattle on June 3. See the schedule below.
As recently reported, Bejar's Destroyer offshoot Points Gray are currently engaged in a fundraising campaign to help raise some cash to release a vinyl pressing of their long-lost album. You can learn more about the campaign here.
Thanks to Pitchfork for the heads-up.
UPDATE: Destroyer has now added a Vancouver date on June 29.
