Deltron 3030 Announce New Teaser EP
After years of delays, the long-awaited sophomore set from Deltron 3030, titled Event II, is apparently set to arrive September 17. Del the Funky Homosapien, Kid Koala and Dan the Automator will give fans an early gift this summer, though, via a teaser EP titled City Rising From the Ashes.

As Consequence of Sound points out, a pre-order link on Access Hip Hop points to the EP arriving on July 30 — something that Dan the Automator confirmed over Twitter. The listing also notes the September 17 due date for the album proper.

UPDATE: Another tweet from the band states that the September 17 due date is not accurate.

The City Rising From the Ashes EP features three cuts that will also appear on Event II: the title track, "The Agony" and "Pay the Price," which popped up online back in January. The CD costs $2 and also comes with a $2 coupon towards purchasing Event II, so in essence, the EP is a freebie.

A tracklisting has yet to pop up for Event II, but it follows the group's beloved self-titled debut from 2000.

Kid Koala had told Exclaim! that he had finished his turntable work on the LP back in 2011, and noted at the time that "We're just getting a couple guests on there and that's it."
