Following a frightening kidnapping incident in Mexico earlier this month, Barcelona-based dance-pop quartet Delorean have postponed their fall-geared North American tour to 2014.
While it initially seemed like the band would resume their previously scheduled dates this week, a press release confirms that the band will now begin their trip in January. While this includes a date at Toronto's Hoxton, as opposed to the originally planned performance tomorrow (October 17) at the Legendary Horseshoe Tavern, make-up dates will not be taking place in Vancouver or Montreal.

As previously reported last week, a person posing as a hotel security officer in Mexico had convinced the outfit that the building was experiencing a security threat. From there, kidnappers detained Delorean for the next 30 hours, in an experience the band noted had them facing "the threat of death" and "psychological manipulation." They were later rescued via "the fantastic work of the National Police in Spain, Ertzantza, Interpol and the Federal Police in Mexico."
