Delerium

"Glimmer" (ft. Emily Haines) (video)

Bill Leeb's long-running Vancouver-based electronic project Delerium have unveiled a new clip for "Glimmer" — and Exclaim! has got your first look at it.

The track appears on the just-released Rarities & B-Sides compilation and had been buried in a box of tapes from the Chimera recording sessions until engineer Greg Reely recently discovered them. Now reworked — with some assistance on vocals from Metric's Emily Haines — the track has also been given the video treatment.

The clip follows a young woman wandering about town, riding her bike, walking under bridges and past abandoned buildings. Once back in her apartment, she's joined by a glass of wine as she morosely flips through old photographs.

Things take an upwards turn towards the end of the clip, though, with the young woman's loneliness drifting away as she makes her bare apartment a little more cozy and settles in to Haines' croons of: "Find your own place."

Rarities & B-Sides is out now via Nettwerk. Watch the video premiere of "Glimmer" in the player below.
