Gorillaz are touring behind their new album The Now Now, but Damon Albarn's cartoon band hit a bump in the road last night (July 7) after their collaborator Del the Funky Homosapien fell off stage in the middle of a song at Denmark's Roskilde Festival.
Del took a tumble during "Clint Eastwood," when he came out to rap his verse. He only got a couple of bars in before walking too far and taking a step off the edge of the stage. Naturally, the incident was captured on video — watch footage below. The group ended their set after the incident, since "Clint Eastwood" is their usual closing number.
Del was hospitalized after the fall, although it seems he isn't too seriously injured. He posted this tweet updating fans on his status, revealing that he was still in hospital but will be back soon:

Gorillaz have plenty of tour dates mapped out in support of The Now Now, including a couple of Canadian dates. See the schedule here. There's no word as to how or if Del's involvement will be impacted by this incident.Thank you all for the love! I'm doing alright but will be in the hospital for a bit, the care here is outstanding though. Much love to @gorillaz for having me out and I'll be back soon yall🤘🏾 pic.twitter.com/p383Mc2Qh5
