Deftones/Isis Spinoff Palms Confirm June Release Date for Self-Titled Debut

BY Alex HudsonPublished Feb 11, 2013

We only just learned about Deftones' plans to assemble archival live tracks for a vinyl compilation, and now frontman Chino Moreno and his side-project Palms have confirmed the impending release of their debut album.

The Los Angeles-based band will release their self-titled album on June 25 through Ipecac Recordings. It was self-produced by Palms and mixed by the band's own Aaron Harris.

As previously noted, Palms features Moreno alongside former Isis members Harris, Jeff Caxide and Bryant Clifford Meyer. Harris previously said in a statement, "Clifford, Jeff and I started Palms a little over a year ago out of a desire to continue making music together after Isis ended. Chino joined shortly after and our sound took shape from there. We've worked really hard on this first release and are excited for people to hear it. It's nice to be back behind the drum kit, and with this lineup."

Stay tuned for more details of the album to be confirmed.
