Published Oct 19, 2015New England hardcore crew Defeater have revealed that they've parted ways with longtime guitarist Jay Maas, just two months after the act released their Abandoned LP.
News of the split arrived today (October 19) through the act's Facebook page, where they explained that the decision was made on the weekend. Though specifics weren't shed, the band cited "personal & creative differences" as the reasons for the move.
Maas was a founding member of Defeater and performed on four full-length releases with the band, with the most recent being last summer's Abandoned. Maas had also produced many of the outfit's studio efforts and toured with the act.
Maas has not yet issued a statement about leaving the band.
