Published Apr 11, 2008If youve been feeling unproductive lately, Deerhoof are about to make you feel a lot more like a lazy slacker. The delightfully quirky San Francisco band, now swollen back up to a quartet with the reportedly back in the studio working on the yet to be titled follow up LP, scheduled for release in October on long-time label Kill Rock Stars.
Having also contributed to the soundtrack for the Justin Theroux film, Dedication and Worried Noodles, an album of songs by artist David Shrigley, and released a free MP3 album of rarities on their website last year, one wonders where the band finds so much time for touring.
2008 looks to be business as usual for Deerhoof, wholl debut new material at a smattering of shows over the next couple months, including a gig with Gnarls Barkley and the Roots at the Roots Family Picnic in Philadelphia on June 7, and a stop at the Marquee Club in Halifax, NS on July 19.
