Deerhoof Announce North American Fall Tour, Share "Paradise Girls"

BY Alex HudsonPublished Sep 10, 2014

Not only are Deerhoof heading to La Isla Bonita this fall, they will be touring around North America. The art-pop oddballs have just confirmed the details of their upcoming jaunt, along with sharing a new song.

The outing kicks off in Brooklyn on album release day (November 4). Over the span of close to three weeks, the band will travel around the continent, hitting up Toronto on November 13 and Montreal the day after that, with Vancouver following on November 22. See the schedule below.

Scroll past that to hear "Paradise Girls," which is an exceptionally weird tune filled with hairpin structural turns, jarring tones and caffeinated hooks. Drummer Greg Saunier said in a statement [via Pitchfork], "Our heroes on this song are Joan Jett, Janet Jackson, Kim Gordon, Kathleen Hanna. It's about how girls are and have always been smarter."

Deerhoof's La Isla Bonita will arrive on November 4 via Polyvinyl.
