Deer Tick Cancel Saskatoon and Edmonton Shows Due to "Family Emergency"

We've got some bad news for Deer Tick fans who were planning on seeing the alt-country band in the Prairies in the next couple of days: the Rhode Island alt-country band have cancelled some of their Canadian shows.

The group were scheduled to play tonight (October 17) in Saskatoon and tomorrow night in Edmonton. A Facebook message reveals, however, that these shows have been axed due to a "family emergency." The band intend to reschedule as soon as possible, but there's currently no word as to when that might be.

Deer Tick intend to resume touring on Saturday (October 19), when they play Calgary. They will make their way to Vancouver a couple of days later before heading into the U.S. to wrap up the tour. See the North American schedule below, and head to the band's website to see their full international itinerary (including a number of European dates in 2014).

Deer Tick recently released Negativity through Arts & Crafts.
