Deep Purple's seminal 1972 album Machine Head (yes, the one with "Smoke on the Water") came out just over 50 years ago on March 25, 2024. To mark the occasion, the classic rockers have announced a North American tour with Yes — including a pair of Canadian gigs in Toronto and Montreal.
The =1 More Time tour gets started on August 14 in Hollywood, FL. Just ahead of the halfway point, Deep Purple will cross the border into Canada to play Toronto's Budweiser Stage on August 25 and Montreal's Bell Centre on August 27. They'll complete the remaining dates on the ensuing US leg, currently scheduled to wrap on September 8 in Scranton, PA.
Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday (April 12), with presales beginning today at noon local time with the code "SMOKE." Check out the full schedule of shows below.
