A month ago, the Decemberists were dealt a heavy blow when founding member Jenny Conlee was diagnosed with breast cancer. Despite the bad news, the group decided to carry on while she took a break to recover. Now, the Portland folk rockers have expanded their tour plans with new dates in the Pacific Northwest.
The outing includes one Canadian show on August 23 in Vancouver. Pre-sale tickets for that show can be purchased here. There are also plenty of dates in the U.S., so check out the schedule below.
A press release also offered this update on Conlee's progress: "Jenny had her first round of treatment and felt good enough to join us at this past weekend's shows. Jenny will not be out with us on the upcoming dates, but may join us towards the end of the Summer if her health permits."
