Death Waltz Announces Debut 10-Inch from Black Channels

Although Death Waltz Recording Company primarily concerns itself with creepy film soundtracks, the sub-label Death Waltz Originals focuses on new releases, and it's through this imprint that dark British duo Black Channels will release their debut 10-inch.

The three-track release will arrive on July 17. More details are set to be announced later this week, but it seems that the collection is self-titled. The artwork is above, and a (previously shared) video for the track "Oracles" can be heard below. The song sets reverb-doused coos and atmospheric synth spookiness atop clattering rhythms, while the accompanying visuals add to the dark mood with shadowy projections and disorienting flickering.

Details about Black Channels are rather scarce, but the band consists of Simon and Becky, who are based out of Brighton and London. According to their official bio, they've already amassed a lot of material, since "the duo have been writing together on and off for the past few years and are sat like hens on hours of songs and sounds."

Expect a pre-order to be made available before long.
