Death Grips Share New 'Government Plates' Album

Beguiling rap deconstructionists Death Grips had promised a new LP was on the way sometime in 2014 via their new Thirdworlds imprint, but they have gone ahead and dropped a full-length freelease today (November 13) called Government Plates.

The 11-song effort, which you can download here or stream down below, was unveiled over Facebook, where the band also premiered a series of videos supporting cuts from the collection. You'll find the frankly freaky video for the outlandishly titled, Bob Dylan-referencing opener "You might think he loves you for your money but I know what he really loves you for it's your brand new leopard skin pillbox hat" down below as well.

You can check out the rest of the videos over on the unit's YouTube channel.

The release includes the previously teased "Birds," but it's unclear if Government Plates is the previously promised full-length or an entirely different project. Death Grips' last free mixtape, No Love Deep Web, was issued as an online freebie in 2012 before yielding a commercial release. It's due out on CD and LP November 19 through Thirdworlds.
