Death Before Dishonor

Count Me In

A marked improvement over their prior effort, Death Before Dishonor’s latest full-length sees their influences sharpened and their songwriting stripped down to the real meat and potatoes. Borrowing more from East coast hardcore mainstays Integrity and Ringworm than the burly metalcore commonly released in this day and age, Death Before Dishonor are well and truly getting to the heart of the matter, stylistically speaking. Make no mistake about it though, there are breakdowns. Oh yes, there are breakdowns. Fortunately, the group don’t attempt to out-chug the competition, as awkwardly struggling to be the best in the current hardcore climate would prove fruitless. This is a solid hardcore record, no more, no less. (Bridge Nine)
