The Dears' Degeneration Street isn't due out for over a month, but the Montreal indie rockers have already done a lot to promote it. In addition to releasing songs incrementally through a series of webcasts, they played the entire album during residencies in Montreal, Toronto and Brooklyn last year. Once the album is finally out on February 15, they will be taking it on the road with a tour of the western half of North America.

The tour kicks off with a show at Sugar in Victoria, BC. From there, they will pass through Vancouver on their way down the West Coast. The Dears go all the way to California before cutting east and wrapping up with a flurry of shows at SXSW. According to Spin, more tour dates will follow soon.

In addition to announcing the tour, the Dears just rolled out a video for the Degeneration Street single "Omega Dog." The clip is a reinterpretation of their 2000 video for "End of a Hollywood Bedtime Story," as it follows singer Murray Lightburn on a nighttime walk through the streets of Montreal. Watch it below.
