Underworld in Montreal - proved to me that there can be more to live electronic music than just turntables and mixers.
What should everyone shut up about?
Condos. (Hey! Let's tear down all the clubs, studios and galleries so we can live where the "action" is!)
Your greatest strength/weakness:
Strength: Fanatically organized. Weakness: Too busy to eat.
Your vital daily ritual:
Coffee. Yahoo headlines. More coffee.
Guilty pleasure:
Horoscopes. OK, I know they're irrational, I'm trying to cut down.
If I wasn't playing music I would be:
Very, very cranky.
Your most memorable day job:
Milking the till at Baskin Robbins.
Best/worst advice received:
"You should have a second career to fall back on." (Apparently selling crack does not count.)
I would drop everything to play a benefit for:
Baskin Robbins.
What makes you want to take it off and get it on?
The Tetris Dance.
What personal trait would make you kick someone out of your band and/or bed? And have you?
Trait: Being a bass player. Have I? Yes. Three times. (uh, out of bands.)
When I think of Canada I think:
Inferiority complex.
Music and sex: Is there a difference? Why?
If you do either just for money, they are remarkably similar.
Strangest brush with celebrity:
In a crusty plaza-mall shoe store, while being forced to buy shoes for school, I had my picture taken with Playboy's Miss July. They had to air-brush over my look of terror.
