Ontario-bred EDM superstar deadmau5 is presumably set to add a tweed blazer to his mouse-head getup, as the performer is set to teach an online course about electronic music production.
The artist born Joel Zimmerman has been tapped to teach a music class through online school MasterClass, a site that has previously offered courses from the likes of Kevin Spacey, Aaron Sorkin, Werner Herzog and Usher, among others.
In a press release, Zimmerman clarified his intentions with the class. "My MasterClass is a no-bullshit look into what it takes to make great music, and it's not just buying millions of dollars worth of gear," he said. "I'm going to show my students how to play with sounds and mix melodies they can share with the world. I've never done something at this depth before."
