The Dead Weather Plot North American Tour for Sea of Cowards, Play Toronto

The busiest man in rock just got a little bit busier. On the very same day the Dead Weather are set to perform their new album live in its entirety on the band's MySpace, Jack White has unveiled a series of North American headlining shows for the month of July and early August.

The Dead Weather will add to already-booked performances at Bonnaroo, Glastonbury and Les Eurockeennes festivals by kicking off a headlining tour from Washington, DC, on July 13 and finishing up in Brooklyn on August 3. The band will play just one Canadian date along the way, at Toronto's Sound Academy on July 15.

Of course, White has a number of other projects on the go. TwentyFourBit reports that he and Jay-Z have agreed to meet at White's Third Man Studios again "in a few weeks" to possibly record some more tracks besides the one we previously reported. White also confessed recently that he's ready to reconvene the White Stripes, who recently released their excellent documentary/live album Under Great White Northern Lights, which was recorded during their 2007 tour of Canada.
