Dead Prez Announce First Studio Album in 8 Years
Despite a few mixtape offerings popping up over the last few years, politically minded New York hip-hop duo Dead Prez haven't offered up a studio full-length since 2004's Revolutionary But Gangsta. M1 and Stic.Man have now announced their proper return with the upcoming Information Age.

The record will drop digitally October 16 through their new label home, indie imprint Krian Music. A physical version of the album will hit retailers January 22.

"We feel very positive about our joint venture with Krian," the duo said in a statement. "Dead Prez has always prided ourselves on our independence and integrity and we were able to form a partnership with Krian that can appreciate what Dead Prez' significance to the culture is and has the capabilities to help us reach bigger goals with the Information Age album around the world. Team work makes the dream work!"

A tracklisting has yet to pop up for the platter, but you can check out the appropriatelynamed first single "A New Beginning" in the stream down below.
