The Dead Milkmen Launch 7-inch Series

Philadelphia punks the Dead Milkmen ended a 16-year dry spell in 2011 when they issued their The King in Yellow LP, but the jokey crew thankfully aren't taking as long to fill fans' ears with even more material, as evidenced by their newly launched 7-inch single series.

The quartet have just issued the first slab of wax as part of the series, which features new tunes "Dark Clouds Gather Over Middlemarch" and "Ronald Reagan Killed the Black Dahlia." A download card that comes with the limited-edition record, pressed in a run of 500 copies, will also nab you a cover of Rome's "Little Rebel Mine," which features a duet between vocalist Rodney Linderman and Audrey Crash.

You can purchase the 7-inch, as well as the digital files, at the Dead Milkmen's website.

While the band didn't detail just how many singles they plan to drop through the series, they did unveil an art and crafts project to keep you busy in the meantime. Linderman has apparently put whipped up artwork for each song, which can be printed and cut out for a dangly diorama project. You can peep the designs for the first single, including visuals of a demented, murderous Gipper, over here. Get crafty, everybody.
