Clearly past their prime yet entirely ready to justify a reunion, this one-off show featuring the classic Dead Boys line-up of Stiv Bators, Cheetah Chrome, Jimmy Zero, Jeff Magnum and Johnny Blitz is nothing less than enjoyable. Packed with everything from an introduction by Joey Ramone through 17 tracks counting "Sonic Reducer twice, as it opens and closes the show that run the course of every Dead Boys tune one could possibly imagine wanting to see or hear, Halloween Night 1986 is a strong addition to the bands legacy. Rounded out by a rare 1980 television interview and video for, youve guessed it, "Sonic Reducer, even though this live show feels dated at times, it does confirm the importance and prowess of one of New Yorks more confrontational and professional early punk rock contributors.
