Published Aug 13, 2008Listen up, Radiohead fans: the David Suzuki Foundation is offering a chance to go see the band live and in full eco-action. Via MySpace, the Vancouver-based environmental group has set up a contest for wannabe concertgoers where they can win tickets to Radioheads sold-out shows in either Toronto or Vancouver. And all you have to do is show you are green, perhaps even a little greener than Radiohead.
So heres the deal: since Radiohead are asking their fans to travel to their shows using environmentally transportation (i.e., carpooling, taking public transit, hoofing it), the David Suzuki Foundation wants to know: "What tip would you give Radiohead to become more eco-friendly while on tour?" If you can answer this question, you may just get your green paws on those free tickets.
For a chance to win, post your advice in the comments section here, along with which concert you would like to attend and what form of environmentally-friendly transportation you will use to get to the show. The contest ends at midnight (PST) on Thursday (August 14) for Toronto and midnight (PST) on Sunday (August 17) for Vancouver. The Toronto winners will be notified by Friday (August 15) at 10 a.m. (EST) via MySpace, and Vancouver winners on Monday (August 18) at 10 a.m. (PST).
If you are short on green ideas, the folks at the David Suzuki Foundation have some suggestions you can check out here.
