David Myles, Wintersleep and the Trews Lead East Coast Music Awards Nominations

Every year, the East Coast Music Awards celebrates the best music of Atlantic Canada, with this year's gala taking place on April 17 in Charlottetown, PEI. This will be the main event of East Coast Music Week, which runs from April 13 to 17.

The award nominees have now been announced, with New Brunswick crooner David Myles leading the way with five nominations. The songwriter released his fourth LP, Turn Time Off, back in April

Following with four nominations each are Wintersleep, the Trews, the Stanfields, Christina Martin, Dave Gunning, Lennie Gallant, and Slowcoaster. Other notable artists up for awards include Two Hours Traffic, Radio Radio, Joel Plaskett, Hey Rosetta!, Boxer the Horse and Paper Lions.

If you want to get involved, you will have a chance to vote on the two Fan's Choice awards. The categories are Fan's Choice Entertainer of the Year and Fan's Choice Video of the Year. Voting will be open from March 14 to April 16.

In addition to the East Coast Music Awards, East Coast Music Week includes an Industry Awards brunch on April 16. This event will give out prizes in categories like Industry Professional of the Year and Venue of the Year.
