Published Mar 19, 2018Before he passed away in 2016, David Bowie co-wrote a stage adaptation of The Man Who Fell to Earth. The project arrived under the name Lazarus, spawning an official soundtrack of the same name. Now, a film version is in the works.
The show had a six-week stint in New York before moving to London's King's Cross Theatre from November 2016 to January 2017. Now, it's becoming a hybrid film and live concert.
A filmed version of the London production starring Dexter's Michael C. Hall will play at Brooklyn's Kings Theatre on May 2. In addition to the film, the show will be backed by a live performance from the band that played at the original New York run.
If you feel like making the trek, tickets for the New York show will go on sale on March 20. Here's hoping this means the film project will get a wider release in the future.
