After confirming the singer's death through a Facebook message on Monday (January 11), David Bowie's family have now shared another message thanking fans for the outpouring of support for the late rock star.
As previously reported, Bowie was cremated in New York without any friends or family present, as per his request. The new message does, however, confirm that his family will be holding a private memorial ceremony.
And while the message encourages fans to honour Bowie's life and work in their own unique way, it also emphasizes that no concerts or tribute events planned at this time have been officially organized or endorsed by the family. See the full post below.
