In addition to co-writing the soon-to-be-premiered stage production Lazarus, David Bowie is gearing up to release an album of new material at the start of next year.
As previously reported, Blackstar is due out on the singer's birthday, January 8. A new trailer for the title track's video has surfaced online, stylizing the record's name simply as ★.
The short film trailer introduces viewers to a number of elaborately crafted worlds that run the gamut from ancient times to far in the future, and include a shot of Bowie holding up a tattered book emblazoned with the ★ logo. The brief clip arrives ahead of a full video that is expected out on November 19.
