The 10 tracks were recorded in Catherine North Studios in Hamilton, ON, and Desert Fish Studios in Toronto. The aesthetic here is retro and rustic, as Eedens sings with a twangy, Southern-fried vibrato.
Eedens plays banjo, guitar and mandolin, and he's accompanied by some minimal instrumentation. His collaborators' contributions are fairly subtle, and the focus here is squarely on the songwriter's frantically fast strums and rugged vocals.
On August 25, Eedens will perform at the Supermarket in Toronto. This will be followed by a UK tour, which will be the start of a full year of living and touring overseas.
