Danzig Tackling Elvis and Black Sabbath on New Covers Album
It's been rough being Glenn Danzig recently. Since last summer, the dude "recklessly rear-ended" another driver, been made the buffoon in the humorous romance comic Henry and Glenn Forever, got called out by his fans for cancelling a show due to low ceilings, and, most embarrassingly, it turns out the dark prince has to buy his own kitty litter. Things are looking up for the metal singer, however, with the announcement that he's recording a new LP. But for this one, Danzig is placing himself shoulder to shoulder with Rod Stewart and doing a covers album.

The specifics are scant, but a post on the singer's website reveals that he's currently in the studio tracking a number of tributes. "Five songs have already been laid down," according to the post, "although we can't tell you the songs, we can tell you there is, of course, an Elvis cover and a Black Sabbath cover."

Considering his characteristic rock'n'roll croon and his affinity for doomy metal, both picks seem on par for Danzig.

A release date has not yet been set for the as-yet-untitled collection.
