While soundtrack hero Danny Elfman recently returned to his pop-music roots, he's set to celebrate one of his most beloved cinematic moments, as his score to Tim Burton's Edward Scissorhands is getting a 30th anniversary vinyl release.

The deluxe reissue is coming via Waxwork Records, and it will feature the 1990 soundtrack on "Ice Sculpture Blue with Snow Splatter" coloured vinyl. It will also come with new artwork by Ruiz Burgos, and you can see that above.

For the unfamiliar, Waxwork offers the following of the score:

The soundtrack by four-time Oscar nominated composer Danny Elfman is a fairytale-esque composition of beautiful choral arrangements over orchestral melodies. With each track, the tale of Edward and Kim unfolds through whimsical strings and sprawling vocal lines. The soundtrack to Edward Scissorhands evokes an array of emotions but leaves you feeling hopeful.

Following an initial — and now incredibly pricey — vinyl release of the score in Europe back in 1990, the soundtrack was last dusted off for a vinyl release back in 2015.

You can pre-order Edward Scissorhands now via Waxwork. The release is expected to ship out in January.
