Danny Brown's 'Old' Treated to Vinyl Box Set

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Mar 21, 2014

Detroit rapper Danny Brown's 2013 LP Old is a modern-day classic, but it will soon be served up on old-school wax for the first time, in both standard and deluxe box set vinyl editions.

First up will be a standard LP release, which Fool's Gold Records will place into stores April 8. The record's 19 dope songs will be spread across two plates of black 180-gram vinyl and will be housed in a gatefold jacket featuring the drippy, museum-worthy portrait of our favourite gap-toothed rap misfit. You can pre-order the set here.

Further down the line, Fool's Gold will be issuing an extended vinyl box set pairing the double LP with a secondary double set of instrumentals, which will be exclusive to the package. Also included will be a full lyric booklet with liner notes, and it comes housed in a "high-quality collectors box," which you can see up above. The box arrives April 28, and bruisers can pre-order the item here.

Old arrived on CD and digitally last fall. You can check out D Brown wilding out to his "Dope Song" in the video down below.

In some related news, Danny Brown is also to reissue his 2008 effort Hot Soup on April 15 via Street Corner Music.
