Danielle Fricke

"Dizzy" (video)

London, ON-based singer-songwriter Danielle Fricke released her debut album Moon last year, but now she's revisiting the record by unveiling a brand new video for its "Dizzy."

Fricke describes the song as being "about wanting to be near someone, to be let in and to hold on to that moment for as long as possible," and it's now been given some visual accompaniment.

The clip was filmed by Fricke herself, done in one take in an attempt to capture the feeling of dizziness. "I wanted to put myself in an uncomfortable place in order to hopefully catch an honest response of attempting to keep everything together," she tells Exclaim!

As she spins around, face right up to the camera, an uneasiness and uncomfortable onset of nausea grows both for the singer and the viewer — though Fricke manages to keep her composure (and a smile) throughout the whole thing.

Get swept into her spiral by watching the video for "Dizzy" below.

Moon is out now via Porchlight Records.
